Period Design – Rococo (1715 – 1774)

Definition from the Australia Floral Art Association manual 2006.

“This style superseded the heavy grandeur of Baroque. All art forms became asymmetrical and entirely curvilinear, the lighter C curve taking the place of the S curve. Flowers were delicate and scented, grey toned and light value. Cool colours were predominant.”
