Two options – download the registration form and send your payment or use our easy shopping cart (at the end of the information below) to secure your place now!
The venue is the Paceway Function Centre, 140 Station Street, Penrith. Special rates for accommodation have been negotiated with Mercure Penrith (across the road) – just mention Australian Floral Art Association for the discount. Standard rooms have either a queen and single bed or two double beds and will be $130 per night, room only (limited to the first 50 bookings).

WEDNESDAY 3RD AUGUST
Bus trip to the Flower Market: Cost $15 pp return trip. Pick up from Mecure (close to the venue and Penrith Leagues Club) at 4am return at 7.45am. Leave Market at 7am. Maximum 45 people

Competition Registration-AFAA Convention 2016
CLASS 1 ‘INTERCONNECTED’
AUSTRALIAN FLORAL ART CHAMPIONSHIP. To be staged on a supplied 120cm round base painted grey. Overall height not to exceed 180cm from the floor. Background: Light green. Carpet flooring – shades of green. Judged from both front and sides.
Prizes: 1st – $300 2nd – $200 3rd -$100.
CLASS 2 ‘CLASSIC CHARM’
A Tradition pedestal Design. Space allowed 1M X 1M – Height unlimited. Pedestals will be available for interstate and overseas competitors. Carpet flooring – shades of green. Judged from both front and sides.
Prizes: 1st – $150 2nd – $100 3rd $75
CLASS 3 ‘SPHERICAL CONNECTIONS’
To be staged on a 120cm round table and not to exceed 120cm diameter. Table height from the floor 70cm. Design may be unlimited height. Black table cloths. Carpet flooring – shades of green. To be judged all around
Prizes: 1st – $100 2nd – $75 3rd – $50
CLASS 4 ‘MANIPULATED MAGIC’
To be staged on a plinth 1metre high. 40cm X 40cm square. Painted grey. Height unlimited. Background: Light green. Exhibit not to exceed 40cm x 40cm in width and depth. Carpet flooring – shades of green. Judged from both front and sides
Prizes: 1st – $75 2nd – $50 3rd – $25
CLASS 5 ‘VIEWED FROM ABOVE’
To be staged on a 60cm X 60cm cube. Painted grey. Space not to exceed 1m x 1m in width and depth. Height: Not to exceed 85cm from the floor. Background white and glass above 85cm. Carpet flooring – shades of green. Judged from above and front and sides.

CLASS 6 ‘ENTWINED’
A petite design over 10cm and less than 23cm overall–may be brought in ready for staging. To be staged on a grey painted 23cm wooden base and background. Judged from front and sides.

CLASS 7 ‘ZIG-ZAG’
A miniature design 7.5cm to 10cm overall – may be brought in ready for staging. To be staged on a grey painted tiered stand. Judged from front and sides.

CLASS 8 ‘INDIVIDUAL AND UNIQUE’
A contemporary wired bouquet with a minimum of gluing permissible. To be staged on a 60cm round silver table. Competitor may bring own staging to be placed on the silver tables. May be brought in ready for staging. To be staged allowing judges to remove and handle for judging.

CLASS 9 ‘TRANSPARENCY’
A wall hanging not to exceed 60cm high X 40cm wide – to be staged against a wall painted apricot colour. May be brought in ready for staging. Judged from the front.

CLASS 10 IMPOSE 1 – ‘ELEVATE’
All materials will be supplied. More than 75% of supplied materials to be used. Priority will
be given to Interstate and Overseas registrants. Judged from both front and sides.

CLASS 11 IMPOSE 2 – ‘IN AND OUT’
All materials will be supplied. More than 75% of supplied materials to be used. Priority will

AFAA STATE EXHIBITS – ‘CREATIVE FLAIR’
To be staged on provided half circle tables. 250cm diameter x 120cm radius.
Glass windows as background. Black table covers will be provided. No drapes allowed on
the windows.
